Winter warmers.....
Coursework hand-in dates.... I despise them! Generally I'll start an a report quite motivated, then be tearing my hair out by the time I get half way through. But with our ethics essay (The identification and analysis of the policies specified by government and organisations for the protection of consumer interests and the role of ethics in consumer choice..... exactly!), my motivation was non existent before I had even begun. I'm a fashion student for christ sake.... exactly what does economic growth and government intervention got do with picking a handbag to match your dress?!
So, our hand-in date was this morning, hence there was some serious pro-plus-ing it last night to get it finished! I did have a very productive morning yesterday, however it was productive in terms of shopping... not so much what I was actually meant to be doing!!
But I was very pleased with my purchases, especially my head bands, perfect for winter weather...
A year ago, I hated Internacionale. But I saw this headband in a magazine and actually really liked it! I'm definitely into my leopard print at the moment... animal print in general actually. Quite a few of the shops have them, but as this was only £6.99, i couldn't resist. I wore it to uni today, with this leopard print bag my brother got me from Urban Outfitters (whenever it comes to birthdays/christmases, i always just send him there - strangely, he's never once picked something I haven't liked!). As much as I love leopard print, there's definitely a danger of going OTT! Stick with one statement piece (like a jacket), or a couple of accessories. Never, ever, head to toe!
I've actually bought a few things in New Look this week (again, not usually one of my favourites, but students on budgets need to compromise!!). But they do have some nice winter-wear in just now, and have lots of good deals on at the moment, 30-50% discounts - which you can also use in conjunction with the o2 priority moments offer, giving an extra 25% off. I therefore got this headband for like £2.20 :-) The jacket was bought from Gap in Paris three Christmases ago. I wore it so often that winter that I became sick of the sight of myself in it, so I only bring it out on the odd occasion now!
I also got another coat from New look, and a dress from H&M. I'm now on the hunt for some leopard print heels to go with it.... I'm planning on wearing them out to my friends Ann Summer's party/engagement party/birthday night out tomorrow night, so I'll post some pics after that! With the horribleness that was our coursework behind us, I have a feeling it's going to be a good night....
Oh yeah, you probably noticed, I DIP DYED. More on that later....

Jewellery and top - as before. Hat - Moore and Moore at Loch Leven Larder |
This hat was one I got for my birthday back in September. I wasn't sure at first, but now that I've seen them in quite a few shops, I'm a bit braver to wear it!! It was £32 from Loch Leven's Larder, a little shop near where I'm from in Kinross, but you can also get it at this website. There are loads on the high street at the moment as well, most of which are a bit cheaper!
Jacket - Gap (years ago!!), Headband - New Look (recent!) |
